Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of vaultfifty1.com, operated by VaultFifty1, a software development, DevOps and cybersecurity studio headquartered in India. By using the site you agree to them. Client engagements are governed by their own written agreements; where a signed agreement and this page differ, the signed agreement wins.

Using this website

You may browse the site, read and share our content with attribution, and contact us about working together. You may not:

• Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure. If you believe you've found a security issue, we welcome reports through our responsible disclosure process.
• Scrape or republish site content wholesale, or use it to train commercial products, without written permission.
• Impersonate VaultFifty1 or present our work as your own.

Quotes, estimates and engagements

Estimates produced by this site (including the cost calculator) and in early conversations are indicative, not offers. Every engagement is defined by a written scope of work covering deliverables, timeline, price and payment terms, and only that document commits either side. We tell you plainly when something changes the scope, and nothing is billed that wasn't agreed.

Intellectual property

Two simple rules:

• Client work belongs to clients. Our engagement agreements assign the work product we build for you to you, with repositories and accounts in your name from the start.
• This site belongs to us. The VaultFifty1 name, logo, site design and content are ours. Quoting our articles with attribution and a link is welcome.

Confidentiality

We treat information you share with us about your business, product or systems as confidential by default, whether or not an NDA is in place, and we're happy to sign yours. We only name clients publicly, in case studies or client lists, with their permission.

Content and no warranties

Articles, guides and tools on this site are provided for general information. They reflect our honest engineering judgement at the time of writing but aren't professional advice for your specific situation, and the site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Decisions you make from site content are your own; if you want advice that accounts for your context, that's what an engagement is for.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VaultFifty1 is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website. Liability within client engagements is defined in the engagement agreement, not this page.

Third-party links

The site links to external resources and services we don't control. A link is not an endorsement, and their terms and privacy practices are their own.

Governing law

These website terms are governed by the laws of India. Client engagement agreements specify their own governing law and dispute process where different.
