Frequently asked questions
Everything clients usually ask before working with us, in one place. Still unsure? Get in touch.
Send us a brief through the contact page. You'll hear back within one business day with questions or a first approach, we hold a short scoping call, and then you get a written proposal with timeline and estimate. No long sales process.
Fixed price for well-defined scopes, a monthly retainer for ongoing engineering or support. Either way the number is in the proposal before work starts, and changes to scope are agreed in writing, never discovered on an invoice.
You do. Repositories, cloud accounts and credentials live under your ownership from the start or are handed over at the end, with documentation. There is no lock-in by design.
Yes. A lot of our work starts inside an existing system: we read the code, respect the conventions that work, and improve the ones that don't. We slot in alongside in-house engineers or run the work end to end.
Directly with the engineers doing the work, not through an account manager. You get a shared channel, regular demos of running software, and honest status: what's done, what's at risk, what we recommend.
We don't disappear. Monitoring, security patches and improvements continue after delivery, either as a support retainer or a handover to your team with runbooks. We operate what we build.
Yes. Send yours or ask for ours, and we'll sign before the first real conversation about your project.
Headquartered in India, serving clients worldwide. We work async-first with overlap windows agreed per client, so time zones become a feature for around-the-clock progress, not a blocker.
VaultFifty1 is led by its founder, a software engineer experienced in end-to-end application delivery and security testing, and delivered by a skilled team across engineering, cloud, security and product. No single point of failure, no work handed down the chain.
Yes. We design for data minimization, keep your data in your own infrastructure or accounts wherever possible, and add guardrails so sensitive data isn't sent to models that shouldn't see it. We're happy to sign an NDA and a data processing agreement.
We treat AI like any other system: evals against your real data, guardrails and fallbacks, a human in the loop where it matters, and monitoring in production. Where a simpler, deterministic solution is more reliable, we use that instead.
We're model-agnostic. We pick per task across Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama, Mistral and open weights, and swap as the field moves. The use case decides, not a vendor.
No. AI clears the drudgery so your team spends its time on the work that matters. We fold it into delivery where it measurably helps, and skip it where it doesn't.
Yes. We deploy open-weight models and RAG systems on your cloud or on-prem when data residency or cost calls for it, with the same evals, guardrails and monitoring.
