AI Development Company
VaultFifty1 is an AI development company that takes AI features from idea to production. We design the system, pick the simplest approach that solves your problem, build it, and own the parts most teams skip: evaluation, guardrails, security and the running cost at real volume. You get working software, not a demo that falls over the first time a real user touches it.
Is this you?
- You have an AI idea but aren't sure it's technically or financially viable yet.
- A proof-of-concept works on your laptop and now needs to survive production traffic.
- You want LLM, RAG or custom-model capability without hiring a full in-house AI team.
What you get
Feasibility and approach
We pressure-test whether AI fits at all, then choose the right rung: rules, classic ML, an LLM API, RAG or a custom model.
Production build
End-to-end implementation with evaluation harnesses, guardrails and fallbacks so accuracy and behaviour are measured, not hoped for.
Cost and latency control
Model tiering, caching and retrieval design that keep per-request cost and response times inside a budget you set up front.
Security and data handling
Untrusted-input handling, prompt-injection defences, and clear data-residency choices for regulated or sensitive workloads.
How we work
- 01
Scope the problem
We state the problem without mentioning AI, then decide whether and where a model genuinely earns its place.
- 02
Prototype the risky part
Build the uncertain piece first, behind evals, so we learn whether it works before committing to a full build.
- 03
Harden for production
Guardrails, monitoring, cost controls and a human-in-the-loop wherever a wrong answer would be costly.
- 04
Ship and iterate
Deploy, watch real usage and accuracy, and tune the system against what production actually does.

Frequently asked questions
A good AI development company decides whether AI fits, designs the system, builds it, and runs the unglamorous parts that decide whether it survives production: evaluation, guardrails, monitoring, security and cost control. The build is often the easy 20%; the decision and the hardening are where projects succeed or fail.
Two numbers matter: the build cost (engineering to design, integrate and test) and the running cost (per-request model calls times your real volume, plus infrastructure). We ballpark both before any code with our cost calculator, then design to keep the running cost inside your budget.
Whichever solves the problem most cheaply. We start with APIs because they ship fastest with zero infrastructure, and only build or fine-tune a custom model when the capability is a core differentiator, when data can't leave your environment, or when your volume makes APIs more expensive than self-hosting.
We treat every model input as untrusted, separate instructions from data to blunt prompt injection, constrain what the model is allowed to do, and keep a human in the loop for anything consequential. Behaviour is measured with evaluation suites so regressions are caught before users are.
